BACKGROUND Petronas as a biggest company in Malaysia are well known to Malaysian people and when we mention about Petronas, normally people will think about petroleum, refineries, KLCC and many more products of Petronas. There are many advertisements involving Petronas in the market, such are LPG gas advertisement, Petronas petroleum fuel, Petronas Grand Prix and Formula 1. There are many advertisements to promoting the products of Petronas instead of branding. On the other hand, Petronas also did the contribution due their social corporate work whereby they have done a good social work with giving interesting short video clip on the commercial advertisement on the television. There are many commercial advertisements that have done by Petronas on the television and they make the advertisement as a compulsory to them and will come out during the certain period of celebrations in Malaysia for example on Hari Raya day, National day and other national celebration. There are also many social advertisements released by the other big company like Petronas such as Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), PROTON, and Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM). However, Petronas’ advertisements are more attractive and succeed to give an impact to the audiences. Its shows that advertisements are really creative and succeed to touch the people heart who are watching on it. One of the advertisement from Petronas that caught my interest was the advertisement about â€Å" Burung Murai†. This advertisement was released during Hari Raya celebration period on 2007. THE STRENGTHS General Petronas advertisements always been watching by the audience and there already have a trust on the Petronas’ advertisement. Petronas has succeed to put on the audience minds that their advertisements are unique from the other with clear story line, attractive ways of presenting the idea, and touched the heart with the feelings of emotion. Petronas always come out with new idea and do not lack of interesting ideas. The idea was fresh and suit on environment makes them acceptable to any background of audience. Consistent with their advertisements and never missed to come out with new advertisement in every single celebration in Malaysia makes their advertisements are wanted for their audience to see the new one. High production costs and low international prices combined to reduce the earnings of Colombian coffee growers. Coffee is cultivated chiefly on mountain slopes from about 900 to 1,800 m (about 3,000 to 6,000 ft) above sea level, principally in the departments of Caldas, Antioquia, Cundinamarca, Norte de Santander, Tolima, and Santander. More than 150,000 mainly small coffee plantations extend over approximately 1 million hectares (approximately 2.5 million acres). While coffee is Colombia’s leading agricultural product, the country’s diverse climate and topography permit cultivation of a wide variety of other crops. Although Colombia has become notorious for its cocaine supply, the processing of coca leaves was more significant than actual coca plant cultivation in the country until the mid-1990s. As the supply of coca, primarily from Peru and Bolivia, was disrupted, coca growing in Colombia increased significantly. Opium poppies, used to make heroin, also became a significant source of revenue despite government efforts to stop their cultivation. Occasionally, this practice requires skilled professionals who can deal with issues ranging from education, marriage, individuals and family matters. To do this the counseling professionals are therefore required to have the following in their practices in order to understand the person’s problems. The counselor should have good listening skills, empathy, and be genuine which will require the practitioner to tell the truth even if the subject matter is not that good to the criminal. Therefore one is required to bring out the truth in a way that the criminal will be able to handle and understand his situation; the counselor should give unconditional positive regard and also should have concreteness in providing any information about the problem. (Pham-Kanter, 2001) In this case of criminal cases, we find that many counselors indulge in a number of activities that usually assist the crime victims to come back to their normal status. The following are the methods that are used by the experienced counselors in order to resolve such issues; Therapeutic relationship; under this we find that a better relationship between the criminal and the counselor is established. The criminal is therefore required to build trust and safety on the counselor although sometimes it is argued that the victims finds it hard to build trust on the counselor thus they end up not giving full information about the causative factor of the crime. According to the counseling practices safety is considered as a leading factor to a safety therapeutic trauma work. In this case, the victim may be found to be having a number of characteristics that may hinder him from building trust and safety on the counselor. These factors may include personality temperament. We may also find that when the victim is found to have undergone a number of traumas, the chances of him or her building his trust on the counselor are always high (Eysenck and Hans, 1996). The other method used in counseling is the Dialectical Behavior Therapy which has an objective of dealing with individuals especially the criminals who are known to be suffering from the personality disorders. This therapy indicates that individuals are always found to be responding to the emotional stimulation not normally; this may come up as a result of biological factors and also the way the victim was brought up. This therapy is usually carried out in two forms; that is the weekly psychotherapist that involves the addressing issues that are said to have affected the individual during the week and also coming up with the best resolutions for such factors leading to the victims indulging in crimes. (Gask and Usherwood, 2005) The second form is the group therapy which is directed towards the handling of the interpersonal skills, the regulation of emotions and also enabling the individual to accept and also tolerate the disorder. These counseling services should be made easier in terms of getting access to it for example building counseling centers in all parts of the country. The relevant authorities should also chip in and offer the counseling services for free or at affordable rates to the members of the society. (Gask and Usherwood, 2005) Relapse prevention therapy can also be utilized to support the criminals to behave normally. It was originally designed as a maintenance program for replace victims. â€Å"RPT entails treatment of addictive behaviors which is used as stand-alone program that in most cases is designed to teach individuals to try and maintain changes initiated in the treatment process† (Pham-Kanter, 2001). Each person has an effective response system to cope with incidences of high risk situations but the problem is the guts to do so† (Pham-Kanter, 2001). Post-implementation survey on suitability of relapse prevention therapy has shown that relapse had decreased significantly as a result of the program. Pham-Kanter explains â€Å"RPT strategies are categorized to three groups; lifestyle modification, coping skills training and cognitive therapies†. â€Å"RPT strategies round up to both cognitive and behavioral techniques and approaches that provide victims of relapse with ways to reframe their habits once more and change processes in learning experiences with setbacks on how they can meet challenges of recovery† (Lorimar, 1999). Life modifications strategies include; exercise, spiritual practices, meditation among others. The professionals who are found to be taking care of the criminals should therefore provide education as a program for healing especially the school going children have to be taught on the repercussions of crime and also the use of drugs. It is a concern that crime is destroying the lives of many people in the world in general. The criminals will therefore be taught on the effects of indulging in crime and other practices like taking drugs because it is the drugs that influence them to engage in criminal activities such as gun crime (Gask and Usherwood, 2005). Drugs really affect the general mechanism of the human body. Sometimes individuals who have taken drugs like marijuana, cannabis, cocaine among others, cannot even go to work. The brain is adversely affected that when children take them their growth is adversely affected. When they know the adverse effects of taking these drugs, they will not desire to carry out crime. Nobody will desire to destroy the lives of their brothers and sisters. Education in this sector can be done both formally and informally i.e. in school and within the homesteads. Attaining The Good Life Philosophy Essay Everyone should want to live the good life. Along with attaining the good life there are many definitions and interpretations of how to get there. People all around the world strive to live the good life each day. What may seem ordinary and boring to someone could be a dream or fantasy for someone who is less fortunate. There are two great days in a persons life- the day he is born and the day he discovers why he was born. In other words, when he discovers what he was meant to do with his life. There are plenty of people who have a desire to live the good life and really make the most of the fun available to them. People who have lived the good life by my definition which is one that has a balanced lifestyle, accomplished goals and dreams which are beneficial to a person and their loved ones, an education, and last but not least having stability through relationships, work, health, and money include Aristotle and Plato. Plato and Aristotle each had ideas on how to proceed with improv ing the society in which they were part of during their lifetime. It is necessary therefore to analyze their different theoretical approaches regarding their philosophical perspectives. A child in the less-developed parts Africa could only dream of living the life we live. They would see the good life as having an education, a safe place to live, clean food and water, and a more promising future. These things are given to us and should be implemented into our lives. Instead, we often find ourselves complaining about not having brand name clothes, or not going out to eat, or having to do homework. Many attempts have been made throughout history to better define the word happiness, and the two best-known philosophers in history, Plato and Aristotle, spent much of their studies on the subject. A good and happy life is one in which pleasures outweigh the pains overall. Many questions have been asked about the good life and happiness. People always answer those questions with their lives, and we see many different ideas of the good life and happiness playing out in the strivings of humanity to live well and be happy. Both Plato and Aristotle felt that happiness was an important factor of life. Platos notion of happiness was significantly different from those with normal views. He spent as much time undermining the traditional understanding of the good life as to describing his own conception. Plato considered happiness as a state of flawlessness that is hard to apprehend because it is based on metaphysical presuppositions that appear unclear for ordinary understanding. Aristotle s peaks of the good life as the happy life; he does not mean that the good life is merely one of feeling happy or amused. Rather, as the good life for a person is the active life of functioning well in those ways that are essential and unique to humans. Aristotles idea of the good life is very similar to mine because my definition the good life is merely one with a balanced lifestyle, accomplished goals and dreams, receiving an education, and stability in all aspects of life. These similarities and differences can be observed by exploring what Aristotle and Plato taught. Both Aristotle and Plato see the good life as the state in which a person exhibits total virtue. A virtue is total moral excellence. However, these philosophers disagree on the definition of virtue, and its relevance to happiness. Virtue is an essential component of the good life according to Aristotle.  The good life cannot be identified with virtue because being virtuous is consistent with leading an inactive domicile or with suffering greatly. As Plato reasoned, total virtue shows only when his desires have been extinguished. Aristotle argues that the good life is different for each individual because each person will have different virtues. Plato sees the good life as being achieved through the perfect love and lack of desire, while Aristotle believes that the good life is achieved through a perfect state that causes its citizens to act upon their virtues Aristotles ideas seem more practical and easier to follow whereas Platos works seem more complicated. Many people are unhappy because they fail to set or attempt to achieve goals. One must set new goals for themselves and do something each day towards its accomplishment. Being true to oneself is a must when setting goals. One must also keep in mind in order to live the good life the goals made should be positive so once they are achieved, only good things will come out of it. The worst thing in life is to live by what others say. Plato said, Apply yourself both now and in the next life. Without effort, you cannot be prosperous. Though the land be good, You cannot have an abundant crop without cultivation. One should live life on ones own terms and should always keep in mind that it is possible to live ones dreams. Aristotle said, Everyone who can live according to his own choice should adopt some goal for the good life be it honor or reputation or wealth or culture-a goal that he will keep in view in all his actionsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦ (Mintoff 159). Ultimate happiness occurs when a perso ns actions and goals which are virtuous. The effects of lack of motivation have a negative impact on people. One will miss the sense of accomplishment and the satisfaction that comes with succeeding on a big scale. He will also lose the respect of his peers and will be excluded from the winners circle. He will no longer feel in control of his own destiny and in fact be a victim of circumstance. He will tend to earn far less than people of lesser intelligence and ability. One will also worry about the future because they fear they may not be able to deal with things. In 2006, the movie, The Pursuit of Happiness, was released. This movie was based on the true story of Christopher Gardners life. Gardner was a bright and talented employed salesman. He continued to struggle making ends meet, Gardner found himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go. He and his son endured many hardships, including living in shelters and in public restrooms. In pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them, Gardner landed an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm. Although there was no salary, he accepted with the hope that he will end the program with a job and a promising future. He continued to honor his commitment as a loving and caring father, using the affection and trust his son has placed in him as an impetus to overcome the obstacles he faced. On the last day of the internship, he was called into an office. Chris was told him that he has been an excellent trainee. Aristotle took on a task similar in some respects to the one Plato conveyed out in the Republic. One of Platos main points is that it is a great advantage to set up a hierarchical ordering of the elements in ones soul, Unlike Aristotle, who would bring philosophy back to earth, Plato held that the unseen, heavenly, eternal things are more real that the things of our world, (Boyleston) and he shows how the traditional virtues can be interpreted to nurture or show the proper relation between reason and less rational elements of the psyche. Aristotles function argument shows in a general way that our good lies in the authority of reason, and the detailed studies of the particular virtues reveal how each of them involves the proper kind of ordering of the soul. Aristotles goal was to come to conclusions like Platos, but without relying upon the Platonic metaphysics that takes on a fundamental role in the argument of the Republic. The word metaphysics is defined as the study or theory of reality sometimes used more narrowly to refer to transcendent reality, that is, reality which lies beyond the physical world and cannot therefore be grasped by means of the senses. Plato believed in an inside out view of metaphysics which shows two realms to our reality the realm of changing, becoming things and a realm of fixed, and being forms, which are unchanging and that all things owe their reality. Aristotle saw in his outside in view, that there was only one level to our reality and that in it forms are found only within particular things, which have both form and matter. If there were not individual round things, there would be no such thing as the Form roundness. Forms do not exist separately or apart from particulars. Roundness, for example, has n o independent existence apart from particular round things. One cannot think the Form roundness without thinking of a particular round thing. The importance of education cannot be measured because it determines ones future. Its value is unmatchable. Without it, there will be ignorance, frustration, anger, and demise. With it, solutions, alternatives, and new ideas can be brought forth to further improve life itself. John Milton said, Nevertheless to write now the reforming of Education, though it be one of the greatest and noblest designs that can be thought on, and for the want whereof this Nation perishes . . .the knowledge and the use of which, cannot but be a great furtherance both to the enlargement of truth, and honest living, with much more peace. (Milton 96). We would not let uneducated officials run our country. As we learn from our mistakes, we are able to improve the next time around. Without education, improvement and progress would never be achieved. There is no greater purpose than using the mind to everyones best advantage because it is a gift given by God. Plato stated in the Republic, When the minds eye re sts on objects illuminated by truth and reality, it understands and comprehends them, and functions intelligently; but when it turns to the twilight world of change and decay, it can only form opinions, its vision is confused and its beliefs shifting, and it seems to lack intelligence (Plato). Both Plato and Aristotle concur that a good education is the way to attain virtue, but they disagree on how a person should be educated because of his differing views on the cause of virtue. By the means of education only ones potential can be used to maximum extent. Education teaches how to think, how to work properly, and how to make decisions. Through receiving an education, one can make a separate identity. Aristotle rejects the existence of Platos forms in general and the form of the good in particular; and he rejects the idea that in order to become fully virtuous one must study mathematics and the sciences, and see all branches of knowledge as a unified whole. Aristotle said, Education is an ornament in prosperity and a refuge in adversity. Aristotle believed that education should begin from birth and should involve changing the childs habits and forming his reason so that his nature, habits, and reason will align. Plato believed that virtue comes from an understanding of true beauty, which exists only in the higher plane of the world. Plato also believes that education should begin when the child is ready to love another. A valuable effect of education is creativity. Creativity can build a bridge in between seemingly different concepts of information or knowledge. People without morals will never do beneficial deeds in their life. A lack of morals in life is a huge problem. A person without morals is one who does not care to help others, who does not care to put themselves in others shoes, and who thinks he is better than everyone else. This is a common trait in wealthy people as well. However, not all wealthy people are like this. Those who are will never know what it is like to live a life a poor person lives, nor will they be concerned. They do not think it is necessary to give to the poor because they feel it is their own money. A person with a lack of morals cannot tell the difference between right and wrong. They have never been taught or never acknowledged true morals. He that has improved the virtue or advanced the happiness of one fellow-creature, he that has ascertained a single moral proposition, or added one useful experiment to natural knowledge, may be contented with his own performance, and, with respect to mortals like himself, may demand, like Augustus, to be dismissed at his departure with applause (Johnson 122). Lack of morals connects to the reasons why people make bad decisions in life. When people do drugs and drink uncontrollably, they see nothing wrong with it because no one told them it was wrong. If they were told, they ignored those who tried to save them from a life of failure. It is sad to see the amount of people who have addictions to certain things and rely on those things for survival. However, these addictions will never help, rather it will hurt them and effect he people around them as well. Lack of morals also leads to violence. Without evident morals people would just turn to violence in stressful situations. It is a proven fact that lack of morals leads to crime. Mary Wollstonecraft said, And, when you are examining your heart, if it would not be too much like mathematical drudgery, to which a fine imagination very reluctantly stoops, enquire further, how it is consistent with the vulgar notions of honesty, and the foundation of moralitytruth; for a man to boast of his vir tue and independence, when he cannot forget that he is at the moment enjoying the wages of falsehood; and that, in a skulking, unmanly way, he has secured himself a pension of fifteen hundred pounds per annum on the Irish establishment? (Wollstonecraft 129). It is morals that will make a person who they are. A balanced lifestyle is vital in living the good life. Ones lifestyle is made up of everything he does for example, work, school, social life, and of course personal time. A balanced lifestyle is a collection of all the activities and places that characterize who one is as a person. Ones lifestyle has an emotional impact on. If ones lifestyles net effect leaves him feeling bad about himself then changes in it are needed. Otherwise, it can lead to stress and depression. If one can accommodate all his activities and fit them in his schedule allowing time to relax and do things for himself, not only will he be happy but everyone around him will be as well. If ones lifestyle isnt balanced, he could find great stress-reduction benefits in taking a thorough inventory of his life and how he spends his time, and making changes. First, one must determine which areas were lacking, and then work on building up those areas. Stress is a normal physical response to events that make one feel threat ened or upset ones balance in some way. If one dwells over a stressful situation not only will they be able to see the good out of the situation but it could also lead to pain of any kind, heart disease, sleep problems, and depression. Keep in mind that there is always some good in every bad situation. In order to live the good life one must be able to handle stressful situations. Socializing with friends and family is also an important part of healthy living. Having a healthy social life means having a few close friends and confidants that one enjoys being with to share ideas, discuss important personal issues, and have a few good laughs. Being able to express oneself and sharing feelings will help one as he is going on with life because he will know that he has friends to talk to when times go bad. Bottling feelings inside will just hurt oneself more and will not be able to enjoy things he used to because of whatever burden he is going through. He will also withdraw themselves from all social happenings, which may give his friends the impression that something is being hidden. Keep in mind, not every detail has to be shared but being able to share thoughts and feelings help one feel more relieved and often helps with taking that extra load off ones back. For the purpose of living one has to assume that the personality is solid, and the self is an entity, and to ignore all contrary evidence. And since to ignore evidence is one of the characteristics of faith, I certainly can proclaim that I believe in personal relationships (Foster 182). Plato and Aristotle agree on the importance of interpersonal relationships in the quest for the good life. Both agree that interpersonal relationships account for the education of individuals, but Aristotle goes further because he sees attaining the good life as societal. By my definition of the good life, one must be positively stable in every aspect of his life. Being financially stable provides a healthy and safe way of living. Nevertheless, he will be able to support themselves and his family in the matter of food, water, and shelter. Money will always be a worry factor but if money is handled the right way then it is easy to remain stable. Good, stable health keeps ones mind sharp, doctor bills low, a longer lifespan in some cases, and lets one work more to make more money. Plato agreed with this and said, Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¨while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. One must remain active because a sedentary lifestyle is not beneficial to ones health. The good life is simply success though stability, accomplished goals and dreams, and a balanced lifestyle. Peace comes with contentment. Harmony is achieved through balance. Stability revolves around rationalization. The good life with out either element; contentment, balanced rationalization cannot be achieved in its true essence. If we started to appreciate what is given to us we would truly see how easy it is to fully understand and live the good life. Lets make the best out of our life for those kids in Africa and other third world countries. Lets better ourselves so we can make a difference so those unprivileged people can live the good life as well. It is obvious that both Plato and Aristotle had a different concept of the good life, but their ideas behind living the good life support my opinion. Human happiness is the primary concern for both Plato and Aristotle in their works of literature. Since happiness is almost a universal emotion their conclusions on the cause of happiness are similar. However, Plato and Aristotle are completely different individuals, so the causes of their happiness are completely different. Achieving the good life was viewed by both philosophers as being a life-long task with several aspects to keep in mind. Their basic conceptions and appreciation of life were prominent throughout their studies of how to achieve the good life. Sometimes, big effects come from little causes. For example, when making bread one has to use flour and water and then he knead the dough. If he forgets to add just a little bit of yeast, he will end up with an unappetizing hockey puck. A big effect, like a healthier person, calls for a lot of big causes, like eating better and exercising more. Sometimes just a little change can make a big difference. To live the good life one must go through the whole process of trial and error.

Jake - Original Essay I pushed off onto the ice; whoosh! I felt alive. I looked around at children laughing and falling, young lovers skating round and round, hand in hand. I turned to see Jake gliding toward me, a look of boyish glee on his face. I smiled and took his out-stretched, gloved hand in mine. We lapped the frozen lake together in synchrony, talking, laughing and generally showing off, when Jake decided to show me, and everyone else on the opaque ice, what he was made of. He sped off, jumping and twisting like half of Torville and Dean, receiving many admiring glances as he landed, sure-footed, back on the ice. "Bet you can't beat that!" he laughed across to me, his heavy breathe coming out cloudy in front of him. I couldn't ignore a challenge like that. I flew across the ice as though I had sprouted wings, oblivious to the cheers and shouts around me. I jumped, twisted, pirouetted and twirled elegantly, breathing in the sweet, pine-scented air. Torville was always the better half of the skating partnership. I skated back toward Jake, a triumphant smile flitting across my face. All at once the ice gave way beneath me; I didn't even have time to scream before a chasm opened up, swallowed me whole and the freezing water surrounded me. A memory flashed; this had happened before. I was only six then but the same fear I had then burned through my mind and numbed my body. I pushed upward, but my sodden clothes pulled me under; down, down. I tried to kick the heavy boots off my numb feet and pushed one last time. My outstretched fingers hit solid ice. Books upon books have been written about Shakespeare’s Hamlet. About an equal number of books, however, have been written about one character; Hamlet. A critic of Hamlet once said, â€Å"a man set out to read all the books about Hamlet would have time to read nothing else, not even Hamlet.† What is the great fascination with Hamlet and the characters contained within. The great intrigue comes from the ambiguity of the play and it’s characters. â€Å"Hamlet is the tragedy of reflection. The cause of the hero’s delay is irresolution; and the cause of this is excess of the reflexive and speculative habit of the mind.† (Halliday. 217) The reason that there are so many critics is that there are just as many theories and speculations. Even in the twentieth century on could create or â€Å"discover† a new theory or criticism based on the play or it’s characters. The character Hamlet, alone, has over two dozen critics from Quinn to Coler idge. Some critics come up with sane interpretations of Hamlet while others use wild and crazy themes. Some conclude that the problem with Hamlet, and a classic thesis used by many students, is insanity versus sanity. The theories progress from there. The theories range from manic-depressant to homosexual. Some are even very creative; such as the thesis that Hamlet is actually a female raised as a male. But no matter how many theories, speculations, or thesis there are, many hold some ground. This thesis paper will not stress on any of the statements I have listed above. However, I will take a stand with Coleridge and speak about Hamlet’s genius and cognitive activity. Hamlet’s true dilemma is not one of sanity -Vs- insanity; but one pressing his intellectual capacity. Being a scholar, Hamlet is prone to thought rather than actions. â€Å"Cause of Hamlet’s destiny. . . in intellectual terms . . . is a tragedy . . . of excessive thought.† (Mack. 43) Hamlet ’s role was to make a transcendental move from scholarly prince to man of action. Hopefully this report will help open another, or even stress a classic, view as to Hamlet’s character and his prolonged delay. Awakenings Many people experience events that will alter their lives forever. These events may be for the better, or perhaps for the worst. Either way, life will most likely never be the same. It is, however, the way one responds to these events that is most significant. The stories of Alice Sebold and Edna Pontellier differ greatly from one another. Both women, nevertheless, find themselves entering into a new chapter of their lives. While their stories are different, the issues that they face are similar. Alice and Edna both experience awakenings throughout the course of their stories. Lucky, by Alice Sebold, is a memoir of her rape during her freshmen year of college at Syracuse University. It is a detailed, and sometimes painful, story of her struggle to deal with and eventually rise above this traumatic event. Throughout the book, Alice experiences things, people, and events that lead and even push her to her awakening. The novella, â€Å"The Awakening†, by Kate Chopin, is written about a woman in the 1800’s, named Edna Pontellier. Although the book is written about a very different time period, the issues that come up are timeless. Edna struggles with finding her happiness in a society that places restraints and limits on what is acceptable from a woman. Both women resolved to make the best of their situations. Alice pursued legal actions against her rapist, and was victorious. She worked hard to emotionally, mentally, and physically overcome her rape. Alice remarked, â€Å"You save yourself, or you remain unsaved† Sebold, pg 61. Edna too found strength within herself to change her situation. She began to change her life despite of what was considered socially acceptable at the time. She opened the doors of intellectual and sexual deviances. Majbritt Dietrich 24/2/13 composition starting with â€Å"Finally the smoke cleared and I could see† Finally the smoke cleared and I could see what I think I’ve been looking for, for five years†¦ I saw a small, abandoned house, which was run down and you could see dead ivy along the tattered walls.It was a little haunting but I promised myself and my sister in law I would help find my two nieces that had made a giant mistake five years ago†¦ He drove out here, into the middle of no where and just dropped his two daughters off in this house and left them to live by themselves, they were no older than 3 years old†¦ He then just left and kept on driving, I’m guessing this was all planned as he then drove into a big truck at least twice the size of his car, and killed himself. We all were devastated. I walked into the house, not knowing what would expect me, I looked around and heard a noise.I stood completely still not even daring to breathe. I heard it again, it was like a soft whispering noise, I moved my shaking head, to see patterns developing on the wall, I was totally confused. A little girl peeped her head around the old wall and ran to attack me. I knew it was one of my nieces. The first thing I had noticed was she obviously hadn’t developed the way a normal girl her age would have. I called the police and managed to stutter the address. During the mean time I was studying the forever changing patterns on the wall. The two girls were running their hands along the wall as if the wall was a person.It was worrying me. I took pictures with my phone but when I went to look at them, the patterns that were on the wall had kind of disappeared†¦as if it were a ghost or a spirit, perhaps a soul stuck in the house? Either way it was scaring me. The police took a while; as the house was very difficult to find. It did take me five whole years to find it. But when the police finally were here they were as shocked as I was. They tried to catch the girls and put them in the back of the new police car, thankfully there was a cage splitting the front and back leather seats, as the girls were the complete opposite of calm.The girls were brought into a clinic and were examined by specialists. They were totally quiet and thought bad of my brother straight away. The girls were both kept in the clinic for a couple of weeks until an old specialist said to me there was nothing more they could do and it would be a good idea if the two girls stayed with me as they knew me. So the girls were brought to my house and process was made, both girls started to speak as the recognised things they had seen before when they had visited me. My partner Denise on the other hand was a bit afraid of them, but tried to act as motherly as possible.Both girls slept in the same room and got along fine with each other. They kept waking up at night, and spoke to the closet. It made absolutely no sense to Denise or me. One night both of us snuck up in front of their door and tried to listen to what they were saying but as soon as 1 second after we had arrived we heard a load screeching and immediately backed away and the screeching stopped. The girls ran out and screamed â€Å"you don’t know Mama, you’re not allowed to listen, she’ll get jealous! † but Denise and I were totally freaked out and slowly closed the door again and walked back to our bedroom, totally out of energy.The next morning Denise snuck into the girl’s room and wanted to look into the closet and she was so curious about what had happened last night. The same patterns that were on the walls in the house the girl were found in appeared on the walls of the girl’s bedroom here too. Whispering started again, the exact same whispering as in the house before too. One of the girls came in â€Å"don’t open it, Mama will get mad†¦Ã¢â‚¬  Denise started to get uncomfortable and walked back out and tal ked to her husband about it, the girl’s uncle.The girls were questioned about ‘Mama’ and said that she is a spirit that appears where ever she wants and can do what she wants. She takes care of the two girls apparently, but really what she wants is to get her child back. In 1485 she was accused of being a witch and was sentenced to death. Her baby was taken from her and was burnt. All she wants is to have her baby buried and to be with her†¦ one of the girls explained. Denise looked at her husband confused â€Å"okay†¦ girls are you sure she’s real? † the girls just looked at each other and said â€Å"don’t say she’s not, she really is real and will get mad if you talk bad about her! . The walls began to fill with the same patterns again and the screeching started too once again. â€Å"You made Mama mad! †. â€Å"Okay†¦Ã¢â‚¬  Denise began to shake. â€Å"What if we burry her baby? † the girls looked scar ed. The patterns began to disappear. The girls replied and said â€Å"maybe that could work†¦Ã¢â‚¬ . We walked to the woods where Mama was once burned at the stake. â€Å"Girls do you have any idea where her baby could be? † they both shook their heads, barely moving. Denise spotted an old ruin that could maybe have been the house where Mama could have lived. We got a priest and said the ceremony that would be said at a funeral.Patterns started fill the trees, and the ruin, they began to run along our bodies, it wasn’t a bad feeling; it was more of a thank you we thought. The two girls from then on were completely normal and were capable of going to a normal school nearby. They lived with Denise and their uncle and visited the graves of their father and mother, more their mother’s though as they couldn’t understand why their father had down that to them, but still knew there would have been a reason. But in the end they weren’t as damaged as the specialists had said, and it was only Mama who was in them.

If Romeo was really in love with Juliet, he would â€Å"let [himself] be ta’en, let [himself] be put to death† instead of completely isolating her. Their relationship can not evolve into true love if Romeo and Juliet are separated for a long time, so therefore their â€Å"love† is only infatuation. Lastly, Romeo is just dumped by Rosaline the same day he meets Juliet. Since â€Å"Rosaline, that [Romeo] didst love so dear, [is] so soon forsaken† (2. 3. 66-67), it does not give Romeo enough time to fully recover from being hurt. Thus, there is not enough time for Romeo and Juliet to fully develop their relationship because he is still grieving over his loss of Rosaline. Clearly, Romeo and Juliet did not have enough time to expand their relationship, so for this reason, Romeo and Juliet are only infatuated. The second reason why Romeo and Juliet are purely infatuated is because they constantly refer to each other’s appearance, instead of their true personality. Initially, when Romeo first sees Juliet, he immediately starts rambling on about how he â€Å"ne’er saw true beauty till this night† (1. 5. 3) instead of talking to Juliet and learning about her personality. Romeo and Juliet are not really in love if they only talk about how beautiful the other person is. If they would actually take the time to learn new things about each other so they can develop their bond, their relationship would actually be true love. Moreover, Juliet is no different from Romeo since she also talks grandly of Romeo’s beauty. When Romeo kills Tybalt, Juliet calls him â€Å"[a] serpent heart, hid with a flowering face! † (3. 2. 73). Even though Romeo kills her own cousin, Juliet still refers to Romeo’s handsomeness, instead of grieving over Tybalt. This shows that Juliet also bases her bond a 3 with Romeo on his appearance, especially since in this case, Romeo just kills her cousin. Lastly, even when Juliet is laying in the tomb, apparently dead, Romeo still refers to Juliet’s beauty, asking her â€Å"why art [she] yet so fair? † (5. 3. 102). In Romeo’s last moments with Juliet, he is blinded by Juliet’s beauty, even though she is said to be dead. This clearly shows Romeo’s infatuation for Juliet since he wastes his last moments with Juliet to talk about her beauty. Evidently, since the couple bases their â€Å"love† on looks, their relationship is merely infatuation. The last reason why Romeo and Juliet are merely infatuated is because they are so young and naive. First, Juliet â€Å"is not [even] fourteen [yet]† (1. 3. 15), when she marries Romeo and fully devotes herself to him. Romeo and Juliet’s relationship can be called â€Å"puppy love† (WordNet Search 3. 0), since they are only adolescents. Also, Romeo and Juliet can not say that they are truly in love because they are very inexperienced when it comes to love. Thirdly, Romeo and Juliet are young and naive becaus e after they spend a night together and Romeo has to leave, they are confident that they will see each other again. Romeo and Juliet think they know all about love, but in truth, they do not, since they are simply teenagers. Romeo and Juliet’s naivety is a reason why they are simply infatuated because it shows how young and inexperienced they are. Seemingly, Romeo and Juliet are simply two young and naive adolescents that are only infatuated. It would seem that Romeo and Juliet should be called a love story since it is a play about two young lovers who â€Å"fall in love† at first sight. However, it is the complete opposite. Primarily, there is not enough time for Romeo and Juliet’s relationship to develop into true love, so therefore it is just infatuation. Furthermore, Romeo and Juliet constantly refer to each other’s appearances instead of their true personality, which is a clear sign that they are only infatuated. Finally, Romeo and Juliet are only naive adolescents who have not really experienced true love. Hence, their relationship is degraded to infatuation. In conclusion, it is very interesting why some readers call Romeo and Juliet a love story, since it really is not. If Shakespeare gave Romeo and Juliet more time to develop their relationship, maybe more readers would be convinced that Romeo and Juliet is a true love story.

A scene in the film of which I thought it was strong was when the new coach takes the players into the woods for a run and they arrive at a sort of cemetery. He tells them about a lesson from the death; they have to come together, otherwise they will be destroyed. He tells them whether they like each other or not, they should respect each other. I really like this scene of the movie, first, because I think it takes place in a special surrounding. All the players are exhausted from the running and kind of impressed by the place. Second, I like this part because I like the message and the way the coach tries to create one team out of two groups. The third message I got from the video is the fact that sports brings people together. No matter what race, as friends in a team you can make it work. In the video the white boys and the African-American boys have each their own team with their own rituals. Along the road, their passion for football and their desire to win brings them together. They combine their habits and the difference in their cultural backgrounds gives them a special feeling of a united group and makes them stronger. Also in other situations can sports play an important factor, you can see it in the world with for example the Olympic Games, but also other major sports events. I think sports can unite individuals from different cultural backgrounds because the rules are the same in every culture and as people are playing, they do not necessarily have to speak the same language. So, if you put the messages all together, I would say that in my opinion the movie is a really good one. After watching it I realized even more that it is about personalities and characters instead of the way people look or the cultural background they are from. Although it can be hard for some individuals to act this way, for example because of pressure from their peers or because the way they are raised. I hope that for the future that every day more people will realize that it is not about the differences, but about the similarities.
